Michael Alterman is a South Florida native, raised in Cooper City/Hollywood, FL. He attended college at the University of Florida and law school at St. Thomas University. Following law school, Michael spent time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania working on commercial litigation and predatory lending cases. In 2009, Michael returned to South Florida where he litigated real estate and lending disputes on behalf of many of major banking institutions.
Prior to his current work, Michael owned and operated a title company and law practice dedicated to real estate law and civil and commercial disputes. Michael has been practicing real estate law for over a decade with a focus on title issues, commercial and residential landlord-tenant matters, condominium and homeowner’s associations, foreclosure defense, and both residential and commercial real estate closings. Michael also handles business formation, transactions, and general commercial and civil litigation matters. Michael provides a rare benefit of applying his transactional knowledge in the courtroom where he represents clients in hearings and trials in most of the counties throughout the state of Florida.
